The Foundation Stone

The first rock cut for the city carries the first names.

Every founding citizen is promised that their name goes into the foundation stone — the first rock cut for the city, archived at the site. This is that archive. When the mine is bought and the first cut happens, the names below are carved in, and the full list is anchored on-chain so the record can't be quietly rewritten later.

The stone is empty.
The first cut hasn't happened — there's no mountain yet. The first name goes in when the first citizen arrives. That's either you or it isn't.

How the record works

1

You choose a name

Your real name, a handle, anything you want cut into rock. It's recorded here with your citizen number and the date — publicly, permanently.

2

Every name is hashed together

The full list of names is combined into a single cryptographic fingerprint — a Merkle root. Add one name, the fingerprint changes. Remove one, it changes. Nothing can be quietly dropped or added after the fact.

3

The fingerprint is anchored on-chain

The day the mine is bought and the first rock is cut, that fingerprint is written to a public blockchain. From that moment, the list on this page is verifiable against the chain by anyone, forever — no trust required in us, ever again.

4

Your name is carved in

At the site, in the actual stone, in the actual mountain. The archive here is the record; the rock is the promise.

The roster

Citizen number, name, and the date the name entered the record. Empty at phase 0 — by design. There's nothing to look at yet; that's the point of you being here.
